This flexible multidisciplinary degree for full-fee-paying international students provides a grounding in theories and practices appropriate for the communication & information technology industry, including knowledge of the Internet environment and its future directions.
The program allows students to tailor their study to meet their individual needs. Students will be able to design a program to satisfy entry requirements of professional societies and prepare for careers in such fields as electronic publishing, information provision, data communications, design and development of multimedia systems, networking, advertising, Internet marketing, interactive design, staff development, electronic engineering, education and training.
The core of the degree provides students with basic skills required for university study including communication skills. The technical specialisations enable students to develop the technical skills and knowledge in communication and information technology. The additional sequences enable students to apply their core learning to their chosen industries and interests, or to gain useful complementary skills and knowledge.
To obtain a Bachelor of Communication & Information Technology, a student must complete a total of 32 courses/192 units of credit as follows:
