This course will provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to build a database-driven Web site that presents dynamically generated content. Topics covered include database use and design, the Structured Query Language (SQL), and Web application development using ColdFusion. Practical work will involve Microsoft Access, Macromedia ColdFusion Express and Web Server software such as Apache. Access to a multimedia computer running Windows 95 or later with an Internet connection and a CDROM drive is a requirement for this course. Students who enrol in this course are expected to have an understanding of the topics covered in MMST11002 Constructing Cyberspace. Students in the BIT program must not study this course.
