This course examines the nature of online culture and community, while providing the necessary skills for constructing Web sites using Dynamic HTML technologies. The topics covered by this course include online culture and community, the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), typography, image-editing, animation, page design, site design, and client-side scripting using JavaScript. Practical work will involve the use of image-editing / GIF animation software such as Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks or equivalent. Access to a multimedia computer with an Internet connection, and a CD-ROM drive is a requirement for this course. Students who enrol in this course are expected to have an understanding of the topics covered in MMST11001 Introduction to Multimedia . Students who have completed MMST13006 Network Multimedia may not enrol.
