Successful communicators have highly developed interpersonal skills as a part of their professional knowledge. This advanced-level course enables the professional educator to critically appraise his or her own interpersonal skills when interacting with colleagues and students. As a second focus the course develops skills for teaching social skills to others. Content includes group process theory, relating to others, personal values, relating sexually, self-concept development, assertiveness, conflict resolution, negotiation and listening.
