MMST12004 Multimedia Design

This course is an introduction to off-line multimedia production. It examines a diverse range of multimedia CD titles, considering the different genres of production and the creative, technical and conceptual skills involved. The course involves actual production in a project selected within a particular genre. Practical work will involve the use of Macromedia Director and image-editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks, Jasc Paint Shop Pro or equivalent. Access to a multimedia computer with an Internet connection, audio capabilities, a CD-ROM reader/burner OR a CD-ROM reader and a Zip drive is a requirement for this course. Access to and use of Macromedia Director is also essential for this course. Students who enrol in this course are expected to have an understanding of the topics covered in MMST11001   Introduction to Multimedia.
