Bachelor of Business Administration/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) CK02
Duration: 4 years full-time, 8 years part-time.
Mode and Location: Internal (final term external) - R. Business courses may
be taken in either mode.
Courses/Units of Credit: 34 courses/204 units of credit.

Entry: QTAC.
Accreditation: Graduates are eligible for provisional registration
with the Queensland Board of Teacher Registration. Full registration
is gained following the equivalent of 12 months successful,
full-time teaching.
Practicum/Work Placement: 100 days of fieldwork, 80 of which are under the supervision
of BTR registered teachers.

The Bachelor of Business Administration/Bachelor
of Education (Secondary) is a combined degree for students wishing
to enter the profession of teaching with specialisation in secondary
education.
It provides students with the opportunity to develop as professional
teachers through a comprehensive tertiary program and extensive
practical experience in schools and the community.
This course enables preservice teachers to prepare themselves
to teach a range of secondary education business curriculum areas.
Curriculum subject areas are offered depending on availability
of appropriate curriculum studies in the discipline degree and the
availability of pedagogical studies in the Education degree.
Graduates are eligible to apply for teaching positions with
employers including Education Queensland, Catholic Education and
independent schools.
Program Structure
Students must complete:
- 18
courses from the Bachelor of Business Administration.
- 16 courses from the Bachelor of Education (Secondary).

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree of the
combined degree enables students to obtain sufficient courses of
study to have two teaching areas to Year 12. Students must complete
18 courses, comprised of the following:
8 compulsory courses, which are:
- Satisfy the requirements
of 2 plans. A plan is defined as 6 courses in a specialist area
and must include at least 4 advanced level courses. One plan must
be chosen from the following specialist areas offered by the Faculty
of Business & Law:

Human Resources Management
Legal Studies
Management
Marketing
Tourism.
