Program outline
The Bachelor of Chemical Sciences/Bachelor of Information Technology is a double degree, which provides students with training to become both professional chemists and computing specialists. Further details of the individual courses can be found in the Bachelor of Information Technology (CQ18) and Bachelor of Science (CU18) descriptions in this Handbook. (See Terminology for definition of a double degree).
A student can compose an individual study program through consultation with the academic advisors for the course. All programs must satisfy the core course and prerequisite course requirements.

Program structure
To satisfy the requirements of the award, students must complete 36 courses or 216 units of credit as outlined below.
Recommended study schedules for this program can be obtained from your program administrator. Students may determine their own schedules based upon credit transfers and personal study requirements. It is important to note that full time students usually enrol in four courses or 24 units of credit per term and part time students usually enrol in two courses per term or 12 units of credit per term.
Full-time students should aim to complete 5 courses (30 units of credit) per term. Part-time students should aim to complete 2 -3 courses (12-18 units of credit) per term.
