COIS13013 Management Support Systems

Course Description

The course reviews the principles of decision making, modelling, tools in decision analysis, decision support systems (DSS), and knowledge-based systems (KBS). Design and implementation issues of management support systems (MSS) are examined, EIS and GSS are studied in particular. Students complete practical work using a financial modelling language and an expert system shell, and so require continued access to a computer in order to complete assignment.
