It provides students with the opportunity to develop as professional teachers through a comprehensive tertiary program and extensive practical experience in schools and the community. This program enables preservice teachers to prepare themselves to teach a range of secondary school subjects including:

  • Physics to Year 12;
  • Multistrand Science to Year 12;
  • Science to Year 10;
  • Mathematics to Year 12.

Subject areas are offered depending on availability of discipline studies in that area and Education staff to teach the curriculum area.

Program Structure

  • 20 courses from the Bachelor of Science (Applied Physics) program,
  • 16 courses from the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) program.
