Program Overview The utilisation of the Internet for all kinds of transactions will affect business, commerce, education, entertainment and the communication media. Hence there exists an increasing demand from organisations to employ professionals with internet communications knowledge and skills. The Bachelor of Internet Communication aims to provide graduates with a professional education for the design and development of effective Internet communication, and equip them to handle the constantly changing environment of the information age. This dynamic degree meets industry standards and allows students the flexibility to design a program of study that will best meet their individual career aspirations. The degree incorporates a mix of communication, electronic commerce, web publishing and multimedia systems. Students can combine suitable programs from other disciplines to form supporting careers in marketing and retail, public relations, journalism, management, multimedia, education, health and business. Graduates will be eligible to find employment in a broad range of career areas including: electronic publishing, health informatics, web site development, web page design, internet marketing and sales, digital libraries and museums, desktop publishing, news commentary and electronic commerce.
