Handbook Terminology:

Final year of secondary education

The highest level of secondary education available in a State or Territory at the time the student undertook their most recent secondary education in that State or Territory. Completion of the final year of secondary education occurs when a person has attended until the end of the academic year and attempted some part of the final secondary education formal examination or assessment. Completion is not contingent on success in such examinations or assessments.
