Program Overview This program provides personal and professional development for a variety of school support workers like teachers and library aides. Courses of study in the School Support program help students become better skilled in supporting children in the areas of literacy and numeracy and in assisting children with special needs. In addition, elective courses of study allow students to follow areas of professional interest. Selected graduates may be eligible to complete a Bachelor of Education (Primary) (CQ50) or the Bachelor of Education (ECS) (CQ53). Program StructureTo satisfy the requirements of the award, students must complete 16 courses or 96 units of credit as outlined below. Recommended Study Schedule The following schedule is designed for part-time students who usually enrol in two courses per term. Students must complete courses from the following schedules.
^ Students who have completed EDED12324 should enrol in EDCU12014 . Electives: The Faculty offers a number of courses of study that focus on literacy, numeracy and children with special needs. Electives are selected dependent on their availability, demand and the advice of the course coordinator.
* Students intending to articulate into CQ53 should not choose any of these courses as electives. These courses will be available in their CQ53 studies. In consultation with the Course Coordinator other electives may be considered.
