Program Overview This program is a combined degree for students wishing to enter the profession of teaching with specialisation in secondary education. It provides students with the opportunity to develop as professional teachers through a comprehensive tertiary program and extensive practical experience in schools and the community. Curriculum subject areas are offered depending on availability of appropriate curriculum studies in the discipline degree and the availability of pedagogical studies in the Education degree. Graduates are eligible to apply for teaching positions with employers including Education Queensland, Catholic Education and independent schools. Program Structure This is a combined degree program. Within the information technology area, students have 2 options of specialisation: they may undertake the Systems Services Stream (which focuses on the installation, administration and maintenance of computer systems), or the Software Engineering Stream (which focuses on the software development process including designing and programming computer systems).
