Year 1
Students will then enrol in the prescribed courses for a specialist plan. 3 plans are offered: civil, electrical and mechanical engineering.
Except where specified, electives may be taken from a wide selection within and outside the faculty. This selection must be requested and approved in writing through the appropriate faculty authority.
Civil Plan
Students choose 1 elective in Year 4 - T2. The elective is expected to contribute an enrichment in the program and thus may be nominated by the student from appropriate courses University wide. This nomination must be requested and approved in writing by the appropriate faculty authority.

Note: that MATH12178 Engineering Mathematics III and STAT13034 will be replaced by new mathematics courses from 2007.
Electrical Plan
Students choose 1 elective in Year 4 - T1 and 2 electives in Year 4 - T2. 2 of these 3 electives must be chosen as specialisation from the list below:
T1 - ENEE13009 Power Electronic Conversion, ENEE13010 Power Systems Modelling Analysis
T2 - ENTE13011 Digital Signal Processing
