Program aim
This program is designed to give graduates with a background in Information
Systems, especially those employed or likely to be employed in the computing/information
systems area, the opportunity to improve their management skills and upgrade
their knowledge in specialist areas of computer-based information systems.

Entry GDISP
- A bachelor degree or equivalent qualification or
- A recognised Diploma and a minimum of 2 years of relevant
communication and information technology experience or
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant communication and information technology
experience or
- A graduate certificate from an Australian university and demonstrated
computing knowledge equivalent to COIS/COIT level postgraduate courses.
Note: The CQU GCIS provides the requisite knowledge and is the
normal entry to this program.
Guidelines for work experience entry requirements
- Resume from applicant detailing employment history
- Secondary and Post-Secondary and Certificates
- Evidence from employer (past and present) on company letterhead
- Evidence of proficiency in the English language (international students)
Computer equipment resources
Students will require access to a computer and printer. Access to the Internet
is required. The suggested minimum requirement is an IBM compatible computer.
Hardware and software specifications change rapidly. Therefore, if buying a new
computer, students should purchase the best quality and highest capacity they
can afford. CQU campuses have computers that may be accessed by students whilst
in the course of their studies. On various campuses computer libraries are available
on a 24-hour basis or extended beyond normal working hours.
