COIS20010 Decision Support and Intelligent Systems
Course description
This course provides an overview of management support systems and how they are implemented in the modern business environment. Theories of human decision-making and the principles underlying the design, development and use of decision support systems are included. Specific systems are studied, including group decision support systems (GDSS & GSS), expert (knowledge-based) systems (KBS), executive information systems (EIS) data warehouses (DW) and data mining (DM). Innovations in management support such as intelligent agents are also covered.
