CRICOS program codes: ROK/BNE/GDC - 051161E. The Faculty hopes to offer the Associate Degree in Business to international students at MEL/SYD in 2004 but must first gain university approval and Government CRICOS endorsement. Contact the Faculty for the latest information on availability to international students before making an application. International student visas cannot be issued without a CRICOS program code.

Program outline

The Associate Degree program is designed for students whose career aspirations may be best served by undertaking a broadly-based business program rather that a discipline specific professional program. Rather than specialise in one specific field of business operations, students are given the opportunity to undertake studies across a range of business and other related disciplines. This approach may suit students who believe that they will be better served in their careers by acquiring an understanding of a wide range of business areas and operations, rather than specialising in a single business area or function.

The program provides a flexible career pathway, offering a diverse range of courses which gives students the opportunity to obtain broad-based skills in a business environment. It will equip students with a sound skills base regarding business operations within Australia and internationally.

This program articulates into a Bachelor of Business degree with advanced standing of 96 units of credit.

Direct entry

Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or its equivalent and where applicable, a minimum IELTS score of 5.5. Students are expected to have access to a personal computer.

Note: Students entering the program via Direct (Special) entry - IELTS 5.5 - will also be required to undertake Learning Skills Unit support sessions for the first three terms of study.
