This is a double degree for students wishing to enter the profession of teaching with specialisation in secondary education. It provides students with the opportunity to develop as professional teachers through a comprehensive teaching program and extensive practical experience in schools and the community. This program enables preservice teachers to prepare themselves to teach a range of secondary education curriculum areas including:
Curriculum areas are offered depending on availability of curriculum studies in the appropriate discipline area and the availability of pedagogical studies in the Learning Management degree.
Graduates are eligible to apply for teaching positions with employers including Education Queensland, Catholic Education and independent schools.
To satisfy the requirements of the award, students must complete 36 courses or 216 units of credit as outlined below.

Application for Credit Transfer
Credit transfer will only be granted where a student is able to demonstrate that tertiary studies equivalent in content and depth to the CQU program has been succesfullly completed. Students should examine the course synopses in this handbook to determine the courses for which they may be able to claim exemption.
