BIOH11001 Human Functioning I

This is an introductory course with primary focus on three main areas (Human Anatomy, Human Physiology and Human Clinical Biochemistry) designed to develop a broad and conceptual understanding of normal anatomy and function which can be used as a basis for subsequent courses.

Texts: Lecture material will refer almost exclusively to the texts for this course: Marieb, E.N., Human Anatomy and Physiology, 4th ed., Benjamin Cummings, 1997. Hickman & Caon, Nursing Science, 2nd ed., Macmillan 1995.
