The course introduces students to the Biophysical Foundations of Health & Human Performance. An introduction to the areas of Exercise & Work Physiology and Biomechanics & Ergonomics constitute the major focus of the course. The course will introduce the students to the biophysical elements of health, including physical fitness, and their effects on human performance, ranging from sport to the workplace. A lecture component will give an overview of each discipline. Lectures will be supplemented with laboratories that introduce students to the major methodologies and skills used in each area. It is a requirement of this course to have access to the CQU website and Internet.
