The Bachelor of Education (Inservice) is an undergraduate degree for teachers who wish to up–grade their qualifications.

The program focuses on the professional development of teachers and aims to broaden and deepen their knowledge base by providing them with opportunities to:

  • investigate and critically examine ideologies and beliefs about human nature and society, teaching and learning, and the cultural heritage of education;
  • develop as informed and sensitive decision-makers concerned with selecting, implementing, and evaluating educational experiences; and
  • pursue their individual interests in education.

Program Structure

There are no compulsory courses.

Students may elect to take up to 2 courses (of a similar level) from another undergraduate degree course at CQU or another university. Similarly, students may elect to take up to 2 courses from other courses offered by the Faculty. The following list of courses will be offered subject to a sufficient number of student enrolments.
