Fieldwork is undertaken at the students expense. 80 days will be completed in schools working with registered teachers, and a further 20 with children in an educational setting. Successful graduates are eligible to seek provisional registration as teachers with the Queensland Board of Teacher Registration. Full registration is gained following the equivalent of 12 months successful, full-time teaching. Graduates are eligible to apply for teaching positions with employers including Education Queensland, Catholic Education and independent schools. Currently graduates are teaching in State, Catholic and independent schools throughout Queensland, interstate and overseas.
