Duration: 4 years full-time.

Accreditation: Graduates of the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) are eligible for provisional registration with the Queensland Board of Teacher Registration. Full registration is gained following the equivalent of 12 months’ successful, full-time teaching.
Practicum/Work Placement: 100 days of Fieldwork, 80 of which are under the supervision of registered teachers.

Program Overview

The Bachelor of Education (Secondary) is a degree with specialisation in secondary education for students wishing to enter the profession of teaching. This program enables preservice teachers to prepare themselves to teach in a range of secondary education curriculum areas.

Students intending to apply for teaching positions in the private sector may be required to show evidence of studies in religion.
