Majors
Your chosen Bachelor of Business major should be nominated on your student record in e.rolment. This is the specialisation area that appears on your testamur.
Choose from:
- Marketing (graduates may be eligible for membership of the Australian Marketing Institute);
- Human Resources Management;
- Management (graduates may be eligible for membership of the Australian Institute of Management);
- Information Systems (this major is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) - graduates may apply for membership of the ACS); and
- Procurement and Supply (this major is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) - graduates may apply for membership of CIPS).
Special notes:
- Not all majors are available at all locations. Check the course availability in this handbook for availability of individual courses. In some cases it may be necessary to undertake a limited number of courses via Distance Education (FLEX) to complete the requirements of a major.
Elective notes
It is recommended that students who have not completed Mathematics B (advanced maths) or an equivalent subject at secondary school level complete MATH11246 Quantitative Methods A. This will assist students to successfully complete STAT11048 Essential Statistics to fulfil the requirements for accreditation with accounting bodies - CPAA and ICAA.
