| Induction Program: | There will be a compulsory 2-day induction program in Sydney around the end of February, where students will meet face-to-face with the teaching team as well as other classs members. This requirement is a once off for the complete program. The cost of attending the induction program is additional to the cost of tuition fees. |

Program outline
This program aims to develop competent railway signal engineers and future leaders of the profession by providing students with a well-rounded knowledge base, generic engineering competencies development, and work integrated exercises to enhance candidate's ability to apply their knowledge and skills in locally relevant practices. The program incorporates project-based and work-integrated learning, and is supported by a network of senior members of the profession acting as work-based mentors. The program aims to become established as an alternative to the traditional IRSE examinations.

Entry
- Full-time employment in the relevant field and agreement of support from employer (compulsory).
- Recent (within 5 years) graduates of Bachelor of Electrical Engineering courses.
- Candidates who do not meet the above requirements but have at least 5 years of work experience in the appropriate field and show learning maturity and capability may be accepted on the recommendation (in writing) of their employer.
