PSYC12013 Personality

Course Description

This course, which provides a survey of "modern" personality theory, begins with a study of Freudian psychoanalysis and its derivatives, including Jungian analytic psychology, Adlerian individual psychology, and selected post-war and contemporary neo- Freudian theories. Humanistic and existential alternatives to psychoanalysis are also considered. Finally, contemporary factor-based trait and dimensional personality theories, social learning theory, and personal construct theory complete the survey. It is a requirement of enrolment in the course that students have access to the CQU World Wide Web site via the Internet.
