MMST19020 Multimedia Honours Project/Thesis A

Course Description

This course requires students to undertake a project in multimedia at Honours year level and to produce a thesis that provides a written account and critical evaluation of the work that has been done. The choice of project for this course will be subject to the approval of the program coordinator, the availability of an appropriate supervisor, and the availability of appropriate resources. Students must negotiate with their supervisors about how their workload will be split between the project and the thesis. Typical options include (a) a 180-to 200-hour project and a 12000- to 16000-word thesis; (b) a 270- to 300-hour project and a 9000- to 12000-word thesis; or (c) a 360- to 400-hour project and a 6000- to 8000-word thesis. Multimedia Honours Project/Thesis A and Multimedia Honours Project/Thesis B must be studied consecutively or concurrently. They cannot be studied as stand-alone courses. An overall grade will be awarded once both courses have been completed.
