Course Description

This course explores the field of digital audio from both practical and theoretical perspectives. Acquire technical skills in digital audio production, design and processing. Learn how to use software for digital audio editing, synthesis and multi-track recording and composition. Become acquainted with various critical and theoretical approaches to digital audio. Integrate theoretical concepts with practical work to produce audio artifacts that are both technically and culturally sophisticated. NOTE: Access to a computer with an Internet connection, audio capabilities and a CD-RW drive is a requirement for this course.
