MMST11003 Design Perspectives
Course Description
This course provides a language and analytical framework for discussing visual design, together with practical skills for creating and manipulating digital images. Learn how individuals see, process and interact with the visual. Examine contemporary designs from historical, technical, ethical and cultural perspectives. Complement your theoretical understanding of design with practical skills in photo manipulation using either Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Fireworks. Discover how to create vector graphics with illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator or Macromedia Fireworks. NOTE: Access to a computer with an Internet connection, audio capabilities and a CD-RW drive is a requirement for this course.
