Course Description

This course is an introduction to the theory and practice of radio news broadcasting, including ethical, industrial and social issues. The course covers research, scriptwriting, interviewing, field and studio production techniques, as well as post-production processes of editing, mixing and presentation. While focused around the role of the journalist/producer, the course will enable students to develop all-round skills through the actual production of a range of broadcast formats and styles, including news, current affairs, and documentary programs.
