GEOG11024 Conservation in Australia
Course Description
This course examines contemporary conservation issues in Australia, including conservation of the natural environment, Aboriginal cultures, and our European Australian heritage. Concepts of the National Estate and legal aspects of conservation, including World Heritage listing, and Australia's role in the international conservation movement are studied. Topics include the need for soil conservation, with case studies of current issues.
