EVST12013 Water Quality Management
Course Description
This course provides an introduction to the rationales and methodology of microbiological and chemical assessment of water quality. The types of pollutants resulting from human activities reviewed. Pollution effects on aquatic ecosystems (freshwater, estuarine and marine) and their impact on aquatic resources are discussed. Current pollution monitoring and assessment procedures are studied. Selected examples of those procedures are put into practice.
