ENTI13004 Non-Destructive Test
Course Description
An introduction to the basics of atomic and nuclear science is followed by examples of applications of importance in industry. Industrial radiography and radioisotope gauging is covered in some detail. The principles and practices of safe handling and operation of equipment using ionising radiation, is considered (this knowledge is the basis of Radiation Safety Officer training, but further training such as our continuing education program, Industrial Radiation Safety, is required by the State legislation.) Other non-radioactive, non-destructive testing techniques are considered, and the general principles extended to cover non-contact measurement.
