ENPO20010 Introduction to Process Engineering

Course Description

This course sets the context for the remaining courses in the Graduate Certificate and Diploma programs in Process Engineering. It covers the core skills used throughout all process engineering. Topics to be covered in this course include: the role of process engineers (with particular reference to the safety and environmental responsibilities), process systems, process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, the process chemical reaction environment, process thermodynamics and transport processes (mass transport, heat transfer and fluid flow).
