Maintenance within the context of the industrial organisation; the influence of equipment procurement policy on maintenance life cycle costs; a methodology for understanding the operation of the industrial maintenance function; an audit of a power station's maintenance management systems; plant structure; establishing maintenance objectives; identifying maintenance causing items; maintenance procedures: the actions, the need for a systematic method to establish a maintenance strategy; the top down - bottom up approach (TDBUA); introduction to reliability-centred maintenance; the characteristics of the maintenance workload.
