ENEV20008 Environmental Engineering (CU15)

Environmental engineering is a new profession that could be widely defined as concerned with protecting the environment from the potentially harmful effects of human activities, protection of human populations from the effects of adverse environmental factors, and improving environmental quality for both human health and sustainable development. This course introduces students to five important areas of environment engineering: water resources, air quality, solid and hazardous waste (including radioactive waste), noise, and social and ethical considerations. Graduate students will find in this course an introductory view of the essential practices, concepts and terminology of environmental engineering.
