ENEV20001 Air Quality Management I

Course Description

The course will give a straightforward and modern introduction to air pollution, air pollution meteorology and air quality management from an Australian viewpoint, including an introduction to the legislative framework. The emphasis will be on practical applications rather than underlying theory. The course will emphasise the practical essentials of air pollution meteorology, dispersion and control. Emission controls relevant both to point and area sources will be discussed. The course will address the key risks to occupational health and safety posed by gaseous and particulate emissions in the workplace, and the most important methods available for protecting the health of staff. Principles of conducting effective air quality audits will also be introduced. Residential school for distance education students.
