ENEM14010 Bulk Materials Handling

The course is intended to provide an understanding of the fundamental elements of bulk materials handling systems. Analysis techniques and design practices applicable to basic materials handling equipment are presented. An analysis of the behaviour of granular materials in storage and flow situations forms the core of the subject. The study of a bulk solids handling system involves the following essential components: stockpiles, storage bins, bin feeders, conveyors.
