ENEC14010 Road/Railway Design Proj
Course Description
This course allows students to synthesise and apply their knowledge to an entire highway scheme. The course is offered in a project-based format and will require students to design the road alignment, intersections, pavement, supporting earthworks and structures. Students will also be required to plan the construction sequence and setting out for the project and carry out economic and environmental assessments of the viability of the project. Students will operate in a group as a consultancy and will also be given the opportunity to develop skills in entrepreneurship, business planning and marketing.
