Course Description

The management of education, including training, is not without difficulties. Apart from the management of day to day issues informed by the pragmatics of the moment, this course considers various economic and educational perspectives that impact on more general choices of education management practices. Focusing on the particular education site of the student/ manager, the possibility of management practices that also suit the aims of education are explored. Issues to be considered throughout the course include the management of values, resources and participation.
