EDED11322 Communication, Culture And Difference
Course Description
By encouraging students to produce and to analyse a variety of texts, this course highlights the characteristics of effective and equitable communication. Students are given the opportunity to develop these valuable skills in the analysis of various forms of communication including television programs, magazines and school texts, as well as engaging in the production of verbal (written and oral) and non-verbal communication texts. Students are also encouraged to develop strategies for responding to forms of communication which marginalise people as a consequence of their age, ethnicity, class, gender, or physical ability.
