EDCU19017 Managing Religion Learning in a Catholic School

Course Description

Those studens who are seeking employment in Catholic primary, secondary and pre-schools are required to undertake studies to prepare them to teach religious education. Hence, this course offers these students an introduction to the Catholic religious education curriculum and to appropriate pedagogical strategies for implementing the curriculum. The students will explore the nature of religious education in Catholic schools and the relevant diocesan religious education guidelines, enabling them to develop basic teaching and learning strategies suitable for primary, secondary and pre-school religious education.
