ECON20037 Corporate Environmental Management
Course Description
In this course, students are acquainted with the practicalities of translating the broad motherhood principle of ecologically sustainable development (ESD) into corporate strategies, marketing decisions and - beyond regulatory compliance - the pressing task of ecological modernisation, utilising the expanding array of available environmental management tools and systems. The course concludes with a number of industry case studies with the dual objective of (i) evaluating the degree of ecological modernisation achieved to date, and (ii) providing students with practical examples of environmental management tools and systems in operation.
