ECOM29008 Electronic Commerce Trading Systems
Course Description
The aim of this course is for students to gain a practical understanding of the concepts and technology underlying electronic trading between businesses. Students study electronic trading systems; the organisational impacts on business processes and people; infrastructure requirements, including communication networks, technology and application integration; and security of data flow, especially for funds transfer. Implications for businesses of forthcoming e-commerce developments are also examined. Assessment is by assignment work that progressively builds to a final report and presentation. NOTE: Access to the Internet is required for this course.
