BLSV12020 Building Infrastructure Audits (NC)
Course Description
This course introduces the student to the philosophies behind and processes associated with auditing buildings for compliance with the BCA and relevant legislation and codes including Occupational Health and Safety and Disability legislation. It will introduce students to the implications of heritage legislation and particular aspects of auditing associated with the refurbishment of buildings.
This course will take students back to first principals so compliance can be determined both "in the spirit" of the legislation as well as "by the rule book". The student will be involved in case studies to develop a practical understanding of the knowledge gained in this course.
