BLAR13049 Construction 3 (NC)

Course Description

This course is a capstone course in Construction and extends the material in Construction I and II to cover all types and heights of buildings. It also develops students' understanding of construction planning, and construction plant and equipment requirements. Students are required to research various construction methods and prepare a final report that demonstrates the knowledge gained through the three Construction courses. Students will need to demonstrate an extensive understanding of Australian Standards and Codes of Practice governing the construction industry along with an appreciation of construction industry best-practice which may not yet have been formulated into legislation. Students should have completed previous studies in the construction of all building types (as designated in the Building Code of Australia) to ensure an adequate level of entry knowledge. THIS COURSE IS STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT AND POTENTIAL STUDENTS SHOULD ENQUIRE AS TO ITS PROGRESS PRIOR TO ATTEMPTING ENROLMENT.
