This course provides a conversion to C++ for students who have successfully programmed in another language, for example Pascal, Ada, C, Modula-2. It is expected that students can develop and program algorithms using a procedural approach and have developed programs using arrays, records (struct) and files, sorting, and searching. Experience with pointers and reference data structures (linked lists, stacks and queues) is highly desirable but not essential. COIT11135 allows students who have a good understanding of programming in another block structured programming language to progress more quickly through their program without repeating both first year computing courses COIT11133 and COIT11134 . Students must have access to an IBM compatible computer capable of running a Web Browser.
