Advanced Diploma of e-Journalism CU71

Duration: One year full-time, two years part-time.
Mode: Internal, external, multi-modal.

Entry: QTAC/Direct. Year 12 Equivalency Candidates are required to provide evidence of sufficient competence in English to undertake study with English as the language of instruction.

Program Overview

The Advanced Diploma of e-Journalism provides a concentrated program of study in modern journalism practice combined with skills and knowledge relevant to new communication technology and the internet. There is some flexibility, allowing students to tailor their study in accordance with individual needs and interests.

The program provides an understanding of the social, political and cultural significance of the internet as well as practical skills in internet research and journalism. Graduates will be prepared to adapt to the evolving interactive environment of internet communication.

Graduates of the Advanced Diploma will be eligible to proceed to the Bachelor of e-Journalism degree.

Program Structure

To obtain a Advanced Diploma of e-Journalism, a student must complete a total of eight courses as follows:
