Duration: 1 1/2 years full-time, 4 years part-time. Students may complete the degree in one year with the approval of the Dean.

This program aims to allow teachers and other professionals to extend their knowledge and skills through further professional development studies. This program can be completed by either a combination of coursework and a Professional Practicum or 8 coursework courses.

Entry

A Bachelor of Education (or an equivalent qualification) or students must satisfy the Dean of their competence to undertake the program on the basis of an equivalent qualification. For example, equivalence may be determined by a combination of:

  • an academic record in a diploma or certificate award of appropriate content and standard;
  • published or unpublished material of appropriate content and standard;
  • satisfactory achievement in master's qualifying programs; or
  • non-award professional development activities and/or work experience.
