The nature of practice is the focus of study of this course. Orientations to practice including empirical-analytic, deliberative and critical perspectives, are examined. This is achieved by students theorising from and reflecting on their own practice and by critical analysis of the literature. The conceptual understandings of practice will enable students to choose an appropriate approach and perspective in planning and implementing the Practicum.
